ANTARES – US Release - June 13th 2008

Dear American fellows,

Sybreed is proud to announce the US release of Antares on the 15th of August through KOCH Distribution (In Flames, Otep ...).

This US version will include a previously unreleased song called “Plasmaterial” as a bonus track, which is our way to beg your pardon for having taken so much time to unleash this LP on the American territories (we thought also about a “Stars-spangled Banner” cover but finally dismissed the idea).

We hope you’ll enjoy it!

Otherwise, know that the Merchandising section of our website is finally open and fully operational. The number of items available should expand in the coming months.

Endorsement updates : VHT & KEETCH - Apr 20th 2008

Sybreed is very proud to announce having ink an endorsement deal with the following brands:

First of all, our guitar player Drop gonna be soon able to make your ears bleeds even a bit more with the ass-kicking, eyes-exploding and bowels-melting amps from the well-known brand VHT. Expect some hard audition trauma (for you and us) after every Sybreed’s shows.
Thank you, VHT!

Then, since we like to wear nice clothes when being on stage, Some Sybreed’s member will be seen, as from now, wearing some interesting pieces of street wear during the next shows, thanks to KEETCH Clothing who accepted to include us in its endorsement roster.
Thank you, KEETCH Familly!

Kowabunga!

Vote for Drop @ the Celldweller Remix competition - Feb 13th 2008

Hey people,

Some of you may remember when we've posted about that "Celldweller meet Sybreed" remix Drop committed months ago: was good, wasn't it? Guess what …

(Oups) he did it again!

So please take a bunch of minutes to listen to his very own ass-kicking version of the Celldweller's song "Switchback" at this location and then click to vote for it.

(If you don't vote for him, well ... we'll know who you are and where you live mouahahahahah)

Hail SANTA !

Ps: Hurry up ! There's only three days left to vote !

A bunch of news for the beginning of 2008 - Jan 26th 2008

Hey boys (and girls) !

Just a couple of words to show that we are still alive (and well), even after having absorbed HUGE amounts of alcohols and foods during the end of the year celebrations: neither diabetic nor ethylic comatose was able to kill us … and what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger! Yeah!

So what’s new? A lot of things for the beginning of 2008 …

First of all, the final countdown until the release of Antares in Japan as begun, and is scheduled on the … through Avalon/Marquee Records. Ok, if you don’t live in Japan you may don’t give a fuck … But if you live in the country of sushi, over-crowded cities and weird animes, know that you’ll be lucky to have one more song compared to your European and American fellows … and be sure that we haven’t put a crappy one: we can even say we are proud of that bonus track, guys! By the way it’s called “Technocracy”.

Arigato!

Then, we are also proud to announce that we are now part of the roster of the booking agency Anthem Production … ok, what does that mean? Just that you may see us on the road a lot more this year … a very lot more … to the point of indigestion we hope ahah! The proof? For now, a couple of festivals where you should be able to see us drinking cheap beers, eat non-dietetic food, and if you’re not yourself too drunk at night , see us making a noise on stage. Here are the incriminated festivals:

CASTLE FESTIVAL - 5th of July in Serbia.

METALCAMP FESTIVAL - 6th of July in Slovenia.

And you know what? More are to be announced (hum, we hope)

Love rockets and Pony Breath !

Drop endorsed by IBANEZ ! - Nov 26th 2007

Dear Sybreeders,

Just a few words to announce that Drop, after many years of experiencing fingers flesh wounds, traumatic hands scars and gallons of blood spilled on many stages, has been finally rewarded for his weird yet highly efficient and dynamic way of playing guitar (which is comparable to rub a brick with a cheese grinder producing sounds close to the quack of a duck on drugs).

Indeed, Drop is now officially endorsed by the honourable guitar brand IBANEZ.

Drop declared being happy, and will now devote his time in trying to become the biggest guitar smasher the world ever seen, and thus complete one of his childhood’s dreams (the others consisting in becoming a renowned ballet dancer or a pillow fight champion).
In spite of being overwhelmed by sheer jealousy and now under the serious threat of being beaten up with a brand new Ibanez Prestige RG2610E-BK, we, the Drop’s bandmates, have finally decided, yet reluctantly, to congratulate him.

So, please join us and say: ”Well done, dude!”

Trick or Treat? -
Oct 31st 2007

Hello Sybreeders,

To celebrate Halloween, we’ve hesitated between giving you free candies, and putting some more material of Antares on our “Mypace” page. Well, since it’s easier for us to upload songs on a computer than sending those unhealthy and crappy pieces of sugar to everybody all around the world, we’ve chosen the second option. And it isn’t one song … it isn’t two songs … BUT the whole album you can now discover on the player we put on our MySpace… hurrah! This way, you can judge if it worst the price you usually spend on a copy of the brand new LP of your favourite band (well, it’s accurate only in the case of you haven’t buy our new album: otherwise you may already know that you’ve made a mistake ahah), and for our American friends, it will help them stand the wait until the US release of Antares…cool, isn’t it?

Stay grim, dark, necro, and nice with the old people.

Antares finally in stores & new website -
Oct. 6th 2007

Ladies and Gentlemen,

First of all, welcome to the new Sybreed’s website!

Well … “New” is a big word since we’ve only made a few changes to fit with the Antares artwork … and when I say “we”, it’s not really “we” but a guy we hired and paid very well for that job, so well that we have no more available resources left and gonna have to eat nothing but our finger nails for the next six months … goddamn blood-sucking capitalistic webmaster! (Note from the webmaster: yep … thanks for helping me paying my brand new sport car, dudes!)
Whatever...

So, to inaugurate that new (expensive) website, what could be better than giving a cool announcement? A photo of our guitar player naked? I don’t think so …

Let’s go for the cool announcement:
Antares is finally in stores now all over Europe (for real!). So for the (few) ones who haven’t downloaded it yet, who still believe that a CD is better than free MP3s and that bands deserve receiving some royalties, move your ass from your goddamn computer and go buy it! It would be helpful, since the money collected would be invested in the next album production: therefore we won’t have to gather capital by selling the kidneys of our bass player to the Chinese triads.

Concerning the US release, since some of our American friends desperately asked us, it’s for now planned for the beginning of 2008: sorry to put a “Guns & Roses” again ( what about changing the title of Antares to “Swiss Democracy” ? )

Finally, as you can see, several shows are already planned. However this is only the beginning: we make a little warm up (if one can call a couple of gigs with PAIN a “warm up”) and we can already tell you that serious stuffs are planned for January 2008. More information should be given soon.

Infernal Hails from the Dark Kingdom of the Great Evil King of the Deadly Gate of the very very Nasty Underworld (rhaaaaa)!
