Ahah no worries dude, we have limitless tracking powers since we've hacked Echelon recently. I just check on Goggle map and come taking my free whopper

I'm some random guy from Denmark. Hi, how're you doin'?

I found Sybreed because I was bored one day and decided to search Wikipedia, of all things, for "cyber metal." Probably because I'd recently heard Kovenant's "S.E.T.I.", and always loved stuff like Fear Factory, Orgy, Nine Inch Nails and Stabbing Westward - things that blend harsh guitars with synthesizers. So two bands come up: Sidilarsen and Sybreed. Sidilarsen were good fun, almost a dub/nu-metal blend, completely in French, but once I got to their cover of The Prodigy's "Breathe," I thought, "Well, fun's over." As for Sybreed - at the time, only Antares was out, and I gave it a listen. To be honest, I thought it was good fun, but not all that hot. I know, that sounds harsh, but stick with me; my story gets better.

Fast forward to 2009 when I accidentally read, on a Danish metal site no less, that Sybreed had released a new album. The review commented that the songwriting was "immensely improved," and since cybermetal (as I like to call it, because it sounds so wonderfully cheesy) is in very short supply, I thought, "What the hell, I'll check this one out as well."

It's now February 2010, and I'm still driving my friends mad about how awesome these Swiss guys are, and how much I love their album. It's gotten to the point where I think I've listened to "Pulse" more times than Fear Factory's "Obsolete," and I've been listening to "Obsolete" since high school (late 90's).

"The Pulse of the Awakening" is an absolutely stellar record - one of those rare breeds of records where I'm not inclined to skip any tracks, or have any clear favorites. Every song on that thing is fantastic. Very, very few albums are like that - even Nine Inch Nails' "The Downward Spiral" has tracks I'll skip. So thanks to everyone involved for making me very happy and my friends very miserable 'cos I'm still going on about those damn Swiss people.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm in a band, but nobody cares.

Uhhh I think I totally skipped this thread when I registered! :?

I'm Erik with a k, I'm 21 and unfortunately live in Fresno, California (US). And like the rest of you I have indeed become a Sybreeder for life.
Favorite bands (below Sybreed of course) would be Fear Factory, Devin Townsend Band/SYL, Mnemic, NIN, Dagoba and so on...

I am a Graphic Designer and 'abstract artist'. You guys can hit up my deviant art to see what I do if you'd like.
http://viraldeftone.deviantart.com/
I'd love to make something, ANYTHING, for the band. Free of charge, or mayyybe in exchange for signatures!! lol just kidding, but seriously. >_>

I await the day that Sybreed comes to Cali so I can take all my friends to a REAL BAND's concert and finally meet the guys I idolize.
Just wanna let you guys know that your music is a part of every day of my life. Ever since I stumbled across Slave Design you guys have become my music addiction.

EDIT: Oh and I almost forgot, my girlfriend Sara likes your music too. I trained her well! lol

became liking sybreed today.

im brandon. im 24. any music that can create waves of un-ending desire to throw my voice so far into the back of my throat and let loose the immortal hell that has been locked inside for so many years, will more or less, be a favorite. Sybreed has just today...joined the ranks of my mental hall of fame. :D ben your vocals...i've never heard anything like them. i dont know the names of the rest of the band...but guitars...ZOMG! i cannot play guitar for the life of me...i know how to hold down two strings and strum the same tune at different intervals and call it badass. i dream to be as talented...and i air guitar like crazy. i dont skate anymore. but i miss it. i like to think i can sing....and i like to yell and scream...but am by far from a sound anyone would desire... influence is my biggest pet peeve but it always gets the best of me.

Welcome Orbita7!
If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay total to go see them in Europe? I'm curious because you're from Australia and I'm from the US.
I wish I could make a trip like that :D

yeah sure no probs, i flew in the spring early march 2008 till mid April was much cheaper cos not really high season there so ticket was roughly $1700Aus bought ticket early like in late January. Last year was there for Summer high season from late July to early October so was more expensive about $2200Aus for ticket Seeing how i spent most my time in Switzerland gf is from Zurich and spent time in Lausanne where i saw sybreed at stormfest and checked out this bar called Backstage metal/rock place really cool which a friend showed me and then to Geneva to get to know the city only left Switzerland for Munich for Oktoberfest and Kassel to see friends, was not too expensive as Aussie dollar is good with swiss franc, only got a little more expensive when not in Switzerland. So taking everything into account first trip was more expensive as i flew to alot of countries and thats more expensive than train. 2nd trip was more cheaper as moved around only in train and accommodation when not free was in hostel and not in hotel like first trip hostels are very good when on a budget. Hope this helps dude!!

I forgot about this thread.

first of all, Hi to everyone.

My name is Ivor and I'm from Zagreb, Croatia. I'm into music, movies, art (surrealism and biomechanics, I'm a Giger and Fuchs fan so that explains everything), freemasonry, demonology and occultism, dog breeds, video games and lots and lots of other stuff.
I play guitar, bass (my primary instrument) and drums a lil' bit. I'm working on a demo with my band which goes by the popular name around here >_>
I'm pretty open minded when talking 'bout music. I listen to everything...from Gorgoroth, Satanic Warmaster, Behexen, Black Sheep Wall, Isis, Have Heart and Bane, over Stevie Wonder, Kylie Minogue (lol), Procol Harum to Tactical Sekt, In[T0XIN], edIT and Dj Starscream . But my favorite genre was and always will be Industrial metal.
Some of my favorite bands are:

Mnemic
Sybreed
Fear Factory
Meshuggah
SmaXone
Breach The Void
Kryoburn
Static-X
A DARK HALO
Strapping Young Lad
Arkaea
The Berzerker
Divine Heresy (sometimes)
Seven
Cloudkicker
Tesseract
Periphery
Textures
In[T0XIN] and other random stuff...

Since I've been away for some time (Life first, internet second!) I'll re-aquaint myself with the forum of today.

My first intro is on Page 1. It's pretty much the same, except I've a new girlfriend (now fiance) and back then I didn't have as much lung trauma!

I might update it, but I just wanted to say hi again as it's been avery long time and there are so many new faces. Still, I recognise a couple. Wonder if Ithey remember me...

I see that we are gradually getting more users with different Sybreed song names. Soon we should have users for Sybreed's entire discography.

Hey I'm Dan, I'm 20 and I'm from the UK. I'm currently at University doing Audio and Music Production, and I generally like to play alot of guitar, gaming and going to as many gigs as possible =D.

I got into Sybreed 2 or 3 years ago when a friend simply thought I might like them, and after hearing Dynamic I bloody well did!

Other favourite bands at the mo include Muse, Dark Tranquillity, Devin Townsend, Rammstein, Scar Symmetry, In Flames, Sylosis, Mnemic, etc. You're better off checking my last.fm for a more accurate list xD.

I suppose you could also say I'm the owner of the Uk Sybreed Street Team, the facebook page hasn't been up long mind xD.
